Exchange Server 2003
Hi, I would like to know how I can get the current memory consumption of our exchange server, we have about 400 users utilizing outlook 2002,2k3 and 2k7 email clients. I need this data because where planning to migrate to exchange 2k7. what else we need to consider before the migrating to 2k7. Is outlook 2002 email clients can connect to exchange 2k7? Any advice would appreciated. sincerely, Gerald

Hi, 1. For memory consumption, you can refer to the article below: Understanding Exchange 2007 Memory Usage and its use of the Paging File http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2008/08/06/449484.aspx 2. Outlook 2002 can be used as a client to access data from Exchange Server Exchange 2007 System Requirements http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996719.aspx Earlier Outlook clients cant connect to Exchange 2007 Server http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/555851 3. For Exchange 2007 transition, I recommend you to read the article below to have a good preparation. Upgrading to Exchange 2007 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124008.aspx Transitioning from Exchange 2000/2003 to Exchange Server 2007 http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Transitioning-Exchange-2000-2003-Exchange-Server-2007-Part1.html Regards, Xiu
