Exchange SBS Server is not receiving emails
We have a Exchange 2007 server that is not receiving emails but can send emails. The domain is

motsayandlay.com and the DNS records are hosted with Yahoo. It is a new client and the records there are very weird. I have checked all the normal settings on server but the SBS 2008 server will not receive the emails. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

From your description, I would like to clarify the following things:

1. Make sure that drive space is adequate.

2. Ensure all the services Exchange needed are running, especially the Microsoft Exchange Transport service.

3. Verify if you cannot receive messages from a specific domain, or all domains.

Hope this can be helpful to you.

Hi ,

1.Please use the EXRCA tool and do the inbound email test.Don't forget to share us the results and you can edit the sensitive information's.

2.Does this issue is happening only for receiving the external emails or else for both internal and external emails.

3.Does any device or smart host which is residing between your exchange server and internet. If so just check that the device is able to receive the emails from internet and it has to forward those emails to the exchange server.

for the above step you can use the telnet commands to check the results.

4.Please check the event viewer logs on the exchange servers.
