Exchange Resource Account Declining Recurring Appointments
We have a resource mailbox that is setup to be used as a shared calendar. So, if anyone on our team initiates a meeting from their personal calendar, they invite the team calendar as an attendee. This calendar serves as a team calendar showing all apopintments it has been invited to. Everything seems to work fine until you schedule a recurring appointment and you invite the resource calendar. If there are existing appointments on the resource calendar during your requested time slot, the meeting invitation is declined and you receive a meeting declination notice from each individual who was involved in the existing calendar appointment. The strange thing is this behavior only occurs when the meeting request is recurring. There are no issues when scheduling a single meeting under the same conditions. Hi Mr.Cingilli, There is a parameter called MaximumConflictInstances is used to control the maximum number of conflicts for recurring meeting. You could use set-mailboxcalendarsettings to set it. Set-MailboxCalendarSettings http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996340.aspx ConflictPercentageAllowed: Use the ConflictPercentageAllowed parameter to set a conflict percentage threshold for recurring meetings. If the percentage of instances of a recurring meeting that conflict with other meetings exceeds this number, the recurring meeting request will be declined. MaximumConflictInstances: Use the MaximumConflictInstances parameter to set the maximum number of conflicts allowed for recurring meetings. If the number of instances for a recurring meeting that are in conflict exceeds this number, the recurring meeting request will be declined. Both default value is 0. So please set the ConflictPercentageAllowed to 99 and the MaximumConflictInstances to 10. Then please check the issue again. Thanks, Elvis

elvis, Those are the settings that we had already configured. Here is what we have: ConflictPercentageAllowed 99 MaximumConflictInstances 10 Trying to schedule a recurring meeting results in multiple declined messages if another appointment is already booked in that time slot (one declination for each person scheduled to attend a conflicting meeting). If the recurrence is set for five weeks, we get five declinations.
