Exchange POP3 and Windows Mobile 6
Hey Guys, I am running Exchange 2003 SP2 on Server 2K3 SP2. Active sync is working fine, I can configure aPO3account for my exchangethrough the Outlook Client. My issue is for some reason I am not able to set up a POP3 account on my WM6 based cell phone. Why would I be able to setup a POP account through outlook but not on Windows mobile or a blackberry? Thanks guys

not sure why you'd want pop3 from wm6 to exchange, but you can just configure it as a 3rd party email service; att and t-mobile have config apps to set that up; not sure on other providers, but i'd just check the manual or contact the provider about how to setup a pop email account.

Hi, Regarding how to set pop3 on a Windows mobile device, see the links below: https://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1734301&SiteID=65 http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsmobile/help/pocketpc/setuppop3orimap4.mspx Blackberry support pop3, regarding the detail steps, I suggest you contact your ISP. As you are using Exchange, why dont you use ActiveSync? Meanwhile, if you encounter new issue when setting up this pop3 account, I think a better place is Windows Mobile forum. https://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/default.aspx?SiteID=65 Hope this helps. Thanks, Elvis

I work for two different companies and both have exchange servers, I am already using active sync with exchange on my main company, there for I am needing to set up a POP3 for my second company. If active sync would allow two different exchange servers to be configured I'd be interested.
