I have an Exchange environment where I need to use Exchange Online mode. But I have issues with Address Book latency. When I use To button I have to wait 30 sec till Address Book windows appear. Outlook freeze and sometime crashes. Is it possible to use Exchange Online mode with Offline Address Book mode? When I use Online mode GAL provider is Exchange CAS.

Exchange 2013?  How many servers?  How many sites?

What is the driving factor with using Exchange Online mode?  Citrix VDI?  Also, how large is your GAL (not number of objects, but physical size, say 10MB).

Does this issue occurs in OWA ?

As users use the GAL on owa and outlook online mode , please told us size of your GAL.

Please confirm whether the issue happens to all users or specific users to narrow the issue to Outlook side or server side. 

Please share your environment in details .
