Exchange Management Console 2010 Sp1 Missing Options on Windows 7
I have Exchange Management Console installed on my Win 7 64bit machine to manage one of our exchange 2010 servers within the domain.
I can see:
Organization Configuration
Hub Transport (I only see Transport Settings when clicked)
Recipient Configuration
Mailbox
Distribution Group
Mail Contact
Toolbox
Within Mailbox if I open a user I only see the General Tab. On the Exchange Server itself I see everything. I'd hate to have to RDP into the Exchange Server everytime I want to manage a simple task on a user.
What am I missing here? Currently I only have the Management Tools installed do I actually have to install a role to enable the missing options? Is it some permission I need to turn on for myself???
Thanks for any help,
Carlos

Check the memberhip of the account you are using on the desktop machine it should part of Exchange server administrator Group.Jasjit Singh Dhindsa | ITIL v3 | IASA Foundation Certified | MCITP:Exchange 2010 | Exchange 2007 | MCTS:OCS 2007 | Exchange 2010 | Exchange 2007 | MCSA:Messaging | Security | MCSE:Messaging | Security | MCP

I fixed it, the solution in this case:
On my Windows 7 machine
Logon as the Domain\Administrator (which has not been used to with EMC on my pc)
Launch the EMC
Which intialized and showed all of the missing items within the account on my pc
Logged off, crossed my fingers
Logged on as myself and they were all there and functioning
