Exchange Mail Flow Test Fails, But all appears normal and we have no problems?????

When I run a Mail Flow test on our Exchange Server it fails by just timing out. But as far as I can tell, all is working normally. What can I do to look further into this matter to see if something is actually wrong.

We are a small shop running 2 Exchange 2013 Servers in a DAG. Each server is in a different location.

All suggestions are appreciated......

Roy

Hi

Can you run the same test from the microsoft test exchange connectivity site and it should tell you where the problem is.

Hi,

Please run the following command to check the server components status and make sure all components are active.

Get-ServerComponentState -Identity Exch13-server1

Get-ServerComponentState -Identity Exch13-server2

Then confirm whether the Exchange users can send and receive external messages. Additionally, here are some similar reference for your reference:

Ed,

Thanks for the above. I did change my receive connector to a specific IP address and modified the Hosts file. It did make the Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer work with the exception of the SPF record............ BUT

I just ran the following test:

Test-Mailflow -TargetEmailAddress rbxxxx@gmail.com

RunspaceId         : 9d31bf0f-6800-4b30-8168-61873472872c
TestMailflowResult : *FAILURE*
MessageLatencyTime : 00:00:00
IsRemoteTest       : True
Identity           :
IsValid            : True
ObjectState        : New

NOTE: The test email was received by Gmail 3 about 3 minutes later.

Any further suggestions are appreciated
