Exchange Log file
Dear All I want to enable logging in my Exchange 2003 SP2 to know the following Information 1- Total messages been received by the exchange per daywith ability to differentiate between internal mail external mail 2- Total messagesbeen sent by exchangeper with ability to differentiate between internal mail external mail is there any way to make exchange write this info into a log file if not ! Can I do it with exchange 2007 Thanks

Hi, You can enable message tracking which will log this information. You will however have to interpret the logfiles yourself unless you buy a tool like messagestat. Leif

Hi I'm already enabling the tracking log but the problem in extracting this information from it since the tracking logsrecords the mail flow steps . so for single mail they are many entries is there any well known tool will read the tracking log files and give what you want from it Thanks
