Exchange Eating Server-Generated Emails
I am a web designer, not an exchange admin, but I am forced to administrate this giant time-wasting behemoth of a web/email server.Suddenly, emails from a webpage I designed are being eaten by Exchange 2003. I set exhange logging and got this in the logs.#Software: Microsoft Internet Information Services 6.0#Version: 1.0#Date: 2008-05-19 23:11:56#Fields: time c-ip cs-method cs-uri-stem sc-status 23:11:56 65.98.242.27 EHLO - 25023:11:56 65.98.242.27 MAIL - 25023:11:56 65.98.242.27 RCPT - 25023:11:56 65.98.242.27 DATA - 25023:11:56 65.98.242.27 QUIT - 240This looks normal to me, but then I looked in the mail tracker and saw that messages sent from the webserver code are treated differently from ones sent thru outlook/outlook express/thunderbird.I promise you, this has been working for YEARS! Why has it stopped suddenly? This problem has eaten 3 productive days of my life! I am going to bill Microsoft for them! The Email is being sent through a Delphi cgi app (written 4 years ago and not changed since). The app does NOT authenticate itself to exchange. The webserver and email server are the same machine.I think I have relaying set to accept all relays from this machine.I went to the Mail Tracking Center (by the way, Microsoft, thanks so much that you cannot cut/paste the data from it) and compared an email sent by me through my email client to one coming from the webserver. Here is a blog post with the screen snaps.Help!
