Exchange ECP redirection problem

Hello,

I have exchange setup like this all are running on VMs

SERVER 1 : EXMBSV01 (MAILBOX ROLE)
SERVER 2 : EXCAS01 (CAS ROLE)
SERVER 3 : EXEDGE (EDGE ROLE)

Im having problem redirecting to ecp. i have down all the configuration mention on the page.

http://msexchangeguru.com/2013/10/30/http-redirect-owa-ecp/

when i type https://mail.domain.com/ecp it redirect to the ecp page but when i type the login details the page just refresh only, no error message or anything.

And one more thing, IIS some virtual directory are missing, bcox i cannot see ECP, autodiscover and EWS under Exchange Back End. But under Default Web site all the virtual directory are present.

Thanks,

Irfan.

Hi,

According to your description, I understand that ECP cannot redirect, also ECP, autodiscover and EWS  VD under Exchange Back End is missing.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Whether you install your Exchange 2013 server as a Client Access Role or Mailbox Role you will have two Web Sites in IIS: Default Web Site and Exchange Back End.The Client Access Role naturally uses the Default Web Site as the home for all the Exchange Virtual Directories (EWS, OAB, RPC, Autodiscover).  The Mailbox Role uses the Exchange Back End site as the home for the corresponding Exchange 2013 Web Applications.
More details about it, please refer to: http://blogs.technet.com/b/get-exchangehelp/archive/2013/02/07/managing-exchange-2013-iis-virtual-directories-amp-web-applications.aspx

For your question, please run below command to check ECP VD:
Get-EcpVirtualDirectory -ShowMailboxVirtualDirectories | FL Identity,*URL*

If it's missing, we need use below command to recreate:
New-EcpVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName " Exchange Back End " -InternalUrl https://mail.domain.com/ecp

We also need recreate autodiscover and EWS VD, if it's complete, then try ECP redirection again.
