Exchange Control Panel painfully slow to load users list

Hi all,

For several days, when I attempt to access ECP 2010 SP3, IE is painfully slow to load users list. So this tool becomes inoperable.

When I sign in, I have to wait several minutes before ECP shows users list. And when I attempt to select a user to manage, the users selection window is equally painfully slow for showing users list.

This issue occurs from a remote IE or from the Exchange server itself. I tried various URL, but without success (https://FDQN_external/ecp, https://FQDN_internal/ecp ou  https://localhost/ecp).

Thank you for your help.

Hi ,

What happens in exchange management console when you click mailbox on the recipient configuration ? Did you face the same slowness issue as same as in ECP ?

Mainly just check the recently installed patches on that server ?

Have you tried with some other exchange server in your environment ?

How many mailboxes did you have in your environment ?

Did you have the enough hardware configuration on the exchange server ?

Does that exchange server is physical or virtual ?

Hi,

Please provide more information about your issue. Any event logs?

Any influence on OWA or EMC?

Additionally, Rollup 9 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Service Pack 3 (SP3) was released on March 17, 2015. Maybe we can upgrade the Exchange to the latest version to have a try.

Last updates were installed the 04/18/2015, Rollup 8-v2 installed the 12/21/2015

No other Exchange server in our environment

How many mailboxes did you have in your environment ?

~500

Did you have the enough hardware configuration on the exchange server ?

It's a VM with 4 vCPUs and 8 GB RAM

Does that exchange server is physical or virtual ?

VMware 5.5 update 2 (hardware vmx-10)

To Winnie :

Nothing in event logs.

No influence on OWA, only EMC experiences this issue.

I keep in mind about to install latest rollup, but this update is not published yet through Microsoft Update Catalog (we use WSUS).

Hi all,

Finally, I opened a case with Microsoft. This issue is caused by recent IE updates : KB3038314 and KB3049563.

Uninstalling these updates solves the issue. It may be possible MS deals with that issue in future update.

Have a good WE.

I was experiencing the same issue.  removing these updates solved this problem.

Update KB3038314  also affects Blackberry Enterprise 5 servers.

We equally have a BES 5, and I cannot access web management interface in HTTPS.

The workaround I found is use the HTTP instead of HTTPS.

These updates seem to impact on the HTTPS web sites acc

Yes Update "KB3038314" prevents the blackberry web console from loading.  It will also prevent the web console loading from any PC you try to access from.  For example if you try and access from your PC you will need to remove the update from the BES server as well as your PC.

Hi all,

The yesterday updates resolve the ECP access issue.

I've not yet tested BES 5 console access.
