Exchange Archive doesn't appear anymore in my Outlook 2013?

I did a fresh Win8.1 x64 install with Office 2013 Std x86 and encounter a problem with not seeing my archives anymore in the Outlook 2013 client.

I had 106 updates for Office to install. Did them but gave no solution.

My colleague who has the same configuration but Office 2013 Std is x64 and with only 68 office updates. Could it be that an update is causing this?

If I connect to my OWA I can clearly see my archives. So the client or Office has something wrong but what?

Hi,

This is because your Outlook version doesn't support this feature:

License requirements for Personal Archive and retention policies

Basically all Standard version of Outlook don't support Personal Archive, but you can still view the archive on OWA as a workaround.

Ok, I checked the page but it's about personal archives.

I'm talking about an online archive from our on-premise exchange server (not related to Office365 or any cloud solution).

Is it still unsupported then? Before changing to a new intern domain it worked on Win7 x86 + Office 2010 Standard x86.
This is really annoying because all our pc's will have this problem :(

Hi,

Sorry for replying late, I've been busy.

I found this article below, which should be more accurate:

Outlook license requirements for Exchange features

If you mean you are using In-Place Archive, still your version is not supported. OWA is the suggested workaround for users in this scenario.

Yes, I don't deny the theory but why, my colleague who has the same config as me (only Office Standard is x64 while mine is x86) is working with Archive visible and active???

When I search through my emails, I need to open my OWA every time again. Very handy it isn't :-/

Ok, just to tell you that we can see our online archives (in house exchange) on Office Standard 2013 x64 and Office Standard x86 so the page https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/Outlook-license-requirements-for-Exchange-features-46b6b7c5-c3ca-43e5-8424-1e2807917c99 is NOT true

Hi,

Supported and listed means MS confirms it works and have tested it, if not working they will provide support for fixing it.

If its not in theory still working MS doesn't guarantee that it will continue to work or if any inconsistency present will not be supported\troubleshooted. Moreover any corruptions or issues arising out of using a unsupported model would be denied support, until you upgrade to a supported level.

Basically they have not tested it and have stopped working on new updates in relation to that feature most likely.

We have like 3000 computers where this setup is installed. Saying that this kind of config is not supported and from the schema at https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/Outlook-license-requirements-for-Exchange-features-46b6b7c5-c3ca-43e5-8424-1e2807917c99 is NOT true it won't work is a little bit light from a big company as MS.

I have a problem where 2 others don't have any and my question on the forum is how to solve it. Not what MS and their rules are ;-)))
