Exchange ActiveSync Administrator Emails : Exchange Server 2010 SP3 RU 8v2

Hi there,

We are using Exchange Server 2010 SP3 and I recently installed RU 8v2. We always had an ActiveSync Access Policy in place where the devices are quarantined until an Administrator goes in and approves or rejects this.

Prior to installing RU 8v2, there used to be a link in the email sent to Administrators to click on to login to the ECP and approve this device. However, since the install of this update, there is no link in the emails now. It just informs you that you need to login to ECP and view the quarantined devices. Has this been removed in the RU?

Thanks

Hello Ash, I am not sure if RU8v2 would have knocked out this setting, however, to add it back you can run Get-ActiveSyncOrganizationSettings and this will tell you who the admin mail recipients are. If none are set it can be set this way, Set-ActiveSyncOrganizationSettings -AdminMailRecipients youradmin@yourdomain.com. You can also configure these settings using the Exchange Control Panel, in the Phone & Voice section.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I am getting the emails through OK, but prior to this RU, I used to get a link to click on to go and approve the devices. Now it just instructs me to go to ECP and Approve through there. It's not a massive issue, just wanted to know why the links had been removed from the email

Hi Ash,

I am guessing that the message you used to receive looks like what is listed below. If the URL is missing, have you verified that the email message is in HTML format?

The administrator specified with the AdminMailRecipients parameter also receives a notification email.
