Exchange 403 Access Denied on http after installing certificate
Has anyone seen where the SSL requirements are changed after installing a certificate? OWA redirect stopped working even though its still set, and going to http://mail.mycompany.com produces- (https://mail.mycompany.com still works) <fieldset> 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. </fieldset>

Hi, From the problem description, the issue occurred when the SSL requirements are changed after installing a certificate. After reviewing the error code and message, we could find it’s related to the permission issue. Please make sure that the user has the appropriate permission to access. Then I suggest that you could use the https://mail.mycompany.com/owa to verify the issue could be reproduced or not. It's a permissions problem in so far as nobody has, or should have permissions to the default web-site. The problem is that the redirect stopped working. I believe it stopped working because SSL became a requirement on the default website after the cert was installed for some reason. After disabling SSL just for the default website, the redirect was allowed to work again. If that redirect was disabled, the 403 error would persist.
