Exchange 2k7 Free/Busy
Hey guys we have a have a problem with people logging into another domain (Domain B) that has a 2 way trust with the domain (Domain A) that our Exchange 2k7 environment resides in. They log in to domain B, open up outlook, outlook prompts them for the
credentials. they enter in the domain A credentials and outlook opens up and they can send/recieve emails. The problem come into play when they try to schedule a meeting with someone, the user cannot see the other users free/busy info.
Now if those users log in through OWA they have no issue. Is there some permission we're missing on our CAS servers that are preventing these users from seeing this information? These are migrated accounts from 2003 and they had no issues before. Users that
normally log into Domain A have no issues.
Thanks!

make Autodiscover proper entry for their outlook then they can get exact and fine calendar, as Availability service is working with Autodiscover so this is only becuase of Autodiscover unavailability.

Hi Mike,
Per your description, I want to verify some information about your scenario.
1. Are the domain A and B in the same forest organization?
2. In domain A, does the exchange server 2003 still exists with the exchange server 2007?
3. What version of the outlook do the users use?
4. Does the new user account's email on exchange server 2007 has no the issue?
According to your refered, the auto discover service seems work well, the issue occured when the outlook search the service, and catch the free/busy information, so
1. please use test email auto-configuration to check the outlook whether could connect the service successfully.
2. enable the outlook log, and check the it.
Useful information for you.

Thanks for the reponses guys, I think Gavin is on to something. Domain A and B are NOT in the same forest. Domain A does still have Exchange 2003 still. We are still migrating people. All the users are using Outlook 2007.
We did find this article:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996849.aspx
I do have one concern and that is running the steps in this article aginst a forest/domain that has not been prepped for Exchange at all 2003 or 2007. I am running this from our CAS server exchange PS console and pointing to Domain B.
One thing to point out is our autodiscover service. I am not sure how much or how well its working. I understand that the autodiscover service needs a cert, but we run a autoballancer in front of our 2 CAS servers, so no valid cert is on the CAS servers
its on the autoballancer. We did at first run into a cert problem on outlook 2007 but SP2 for Office seemed to have resovled that issue.
Amit when I enter in our URL for OWA
https://webmail.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml I get the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"
?>
-
<Autodiscover xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/autodiscover/responseschema/2006">
-
<Response>
-
<Error Time="06:34:36.8185387"
Id="2966977343">
<ErrorCode>600</ErrorCode>
<Message>Invalid Request</Message>
<DebugData
/>
</Error>
</Response>
</Autodiscover>
Thanks!

You autodiscover seems working fine.
give a trial to this,Make a host entry for a one of client who is having this issue, entry should be for autodiscover.Like this
X.X.X.X(ip of your CAS server )
autodiscover.domainname.com
then check the calendar? let us know the output.
Thanks

Hi,
Make sure you have public folder replication properly configured and set to run "always" under SERVERS-> SERVERNAME-> FIRST STORAGE GROUP-> PUBLIC INFORMATION STORE (right click, click properties, and then select the replication tab). And, check
your security logs to verify that all users are logging in to the proper domain using the correct credentials
In Outlook 2k7, free/busy info is dependent on the autodiscover service workin properly. You can test the Autodiscover by holding down CTRL and clicking on the Outlook client icon in the system tray. Select
'Test Email Autoconfiguration'.
also check :
1) No replicas available for the Schedule+ Folders(check for multiple ones) -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945602
2) Make sure the default public folder for each Exch 2007 mailbox store is set to a Exch 2007 public folder and not the Exch 2003 public folder. This sound simple but it's easy to miss.Dinesh
