Hello,

I have an Exchange 2013 Installation with 2 CAS , 2 MBX and LNB infront. Mailfow working perfect , OWA the same. From internal and from external. My problem is with the Outlook Anywhere.

I use testconnectivity website from microsoft and it passes all tests except the last one. The error is

  The HTTP authentication test failed.

Additional Details
A Web exception occurred because an HTTP 501 - NotImplemented response was received from Unknown.
Headers received:
Pragma: no-cache
Content-Length: 29
Cache-Control: no-cache,no-store
Content-Type: text/html
Expires: now Elapsed Time: 615 ms.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Hi

Check your settings for outlook anywhere by running the following command from the Exchange Management Shell: get-outlookanywhere

If they set to Negotiate change the settings to Basic and NTLM using set-outlookanywhere command.

Hi !

I have already change this settings to Basic and NTLM but i get the same error. It seems that my load balancer is the reason. If i bypass it then outlook anywhere works perfect. With the loadbalancer online i have the specific problem .

Hi,

If you don't mind, I suggest using  DNS round robin instead of NLB.

Found an article for your reference:

Exchange Server 2013 Client Access Server High Availability

If NLB is unnecessary, we can just bypass the NLB.

Hope it is helpful

Thanks
