Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2013 Public Folders

Hi,

If you configured the outlook in cached mode, please check the following setting

  1. Click File -> Account Settings.
  2. Double-click user account, click more settings.
  3. Under advanced tab, check the box Download Public Folder Favorites

By default, Public Folder Favorites are not downloaded. Just like with shared folders, downloading Public Folder Favorites increases the size of users' .ost files. Also, synchronizing Public Folder Favorites might cause additional network traffic that could be annoying for users who have slow connections.

If this doesnt work, switch to online mode to take a test.

They don't show when you view the full folder list in Outlook? Check the connection status window in outlook (right click on the Outlook icon in the system tray and select 'Connection Status') and look for a Public Folder connect

I have upgraded a few users to Office Professional Plus 2013. All of them have lost the Companies public folders? They show up in OWA and Outlook 2010 or 2007, but not in 2013. I am completely lost and not very good with Exchange to begin with. Any halp will be greatly appreciated!

They don't show when you view the full folder list in Outlook? Check the connection status window in outlook (right click on the Outlook icon in the system tray and select 'Connection Status') and look for a Public Folder connection.
