Exchange 2013 Removal

Hi All,

I have an Exchange 2013 server which is now redundant following a migration to Office 365.  I'd like to remove Exchange from the server but I can't find an official Microsoft document stating the correct way to achieve this.  Can someone please let me know if such a document exists, or if not what is the recommended way of removing Exchange.

Thank you

Jonathan

It's really kinda the same as it would be other versions.  Make sure everything is moved over to Office 365 (mailboxes, public folders, etc).  I would then power down the server for a day or two (jsut to make sure there's nothing else tied to the 2013 servers, then I would remove the mailbox databases, and then uninstall everything via add/remove programs.

Hi Jonathan

Take a look at that: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2012/12/05/decommissioning-your-exchange-2010-servers-in-a-hybrid-deployment.aspx

Hope that helps.
