I am trying to figure out with our Exchange 2007 configuration.

When users logon to https://servername/owa , they login directly into their owa without any credentials popups.

When users logon to https://servername.domainname/owa, popup for credentials appears , users have to type their credentials.On Exchange Management Console Windows Integrated authentication is configured, interlal URL is https://servername.domainname/owa,  external URL is empty.

Why when users use https://servername.domainname/owa, they should type credentials?

tip:

add fqdn in internet explorer to intranet

it did not help,

I assume it's something with exchange config, maybe kerberos. But if so, also https://servername/owa  whould ask for credentials :)
