Exchange 2013 DAG Seed Operation fails

Exchange 2013 CU2 on Server 2012 R2.  Two member DAG, four databases.  Three of the 4 databases successfully created copies, but the forth keeps failing with the following error:

The seeding operation failed. Error: An error occurred while performing the seed operation. Error: Failed to open a log truncation context to source server 'EMSRV-MSEXCH1.emcc.edu'. Hresult: 0xc7ff1004. Error: Error returned from an ESE function call (-1305).
[Database: Staff and Administrators, Server: EMSRV-MSEXCH2.emcc.edu]

At this point I haven't migrated more than 1 or 2 test mailboxes to Exchange 2013 but would like to get the DB's fully mirrored before I do full scale testing.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi,

At this moment Windows 2012 R2 is not supported as Exchange Server's operating system. You should wait until Microsoft release Service Pack 1 for Exchange 2013. More info: http://blogs.technet.com/b/rmilne/archive/2013/09/17/exchange-support-for-windows-server-2012-r2.aspx

My apologies.  I was incorrect in stating 2012 R2.  It is 2012 Standard.  My mind was stuck in 2008 (server, that is).

Hi,

Is there any error message in the event log on the active server?

Could you please use the Update-MailboxDatabaseCopy cmdlet to check the result?

To narrow down the issue, I recommend you use the get-mailboxdatabasecopystatus cmdlet to get related information.

If there is any update, please feel free to post here for further research.

Best regards,
Belinda
