Exchange 2013 CU8 migrated room mailboxes do not show up in ECP

Hi,

I migrated a bunch of mailboxes cross forest from a 2007 exchange server to a freshly installed 2013 CU8 server (new forest/domain).

Things seem to be ok, there is one odd thing though - The room mailboxes I migrated do not show in the administration panel.

Get-Mailbox lists them and they show up on OWA, too.

Any idea?

Thank you

Hi,

that is exactly what it means.

I have an empty list when there should be at least two room mailboxes.

i had a similar issue with shared mailboxs some time ago after a migration. For me it helped to convert the mailbox to a usermailbox and then convert it back.

Should be something like:

Set-Mailbox <roommailbox> -Type Regular

Set-Mailbox <roommailbox> -Type Room

I think we are getting somewhere.

converting mailbox "xxxx" from type LinkedRoomMailbox" to type "UserMailbox" isn't supported.

The two room mailboxes used to be linked, I unlinked them, though (Set-user <sAMAccountName> -LinkedMasterAccount $null).

msExchMasterAccountSid is not set on the corresponding accounts.

What else can I do?

Turned out that msExchRecipientTypeDetails on the corresponding AD accounts was set to 2199023255552 for some reason.

After changing it to 16 (room mailbox), the boxes show up in ECP.
