Exchange 2013 - schema prep (net assambly error)

Setup.exe /prepareschema /IAcceptExchangeserverlicenseterms

gives error:  [ERROR] An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of the .NET Framework. This release of the .NET Framework does not enable CAS policy by default, so this load may be dangerous. If this load is not intended to sandbox the assembly, please enable the loadFromRemoteSources switch. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=155569 for more information. ; Any hints how to solve this?

Make sure that the machine you're running it on meets the minimum requirements.

Hello,

According to the above error, exchange setup file is copied from a network location. So please try to unblock "

this file came from another computer and might be blocked to help protect this computer" on properties of exchange setup file.

Please follow the Ed's suggestion to check the exchange 2013 prerequisites.

Here is an article for your reference.

I've had problems from time to time running setup from a network share, so it might help to copy all the setup files to the local computer if that's the case.

Unblocking the downloaded exe corrected the problem.

I have been fighting with this for a couple of days. I resolved the problem by burning the ISO image to a DVD and installing from the DVD. It seems that the installer does not trust installations from the hard disk.

Luckily I had a dual layer DVD writer as the image is too big for a single layer writer.

Unblocking did not work for me. Any other thoughts?

Burning a dual-layer DVD is not a solution (and, for us, it is not an option).

I unblocked only the "setup.exe" - is there some way I can say, "Unblock all files/folders in the directory tree?"

Or, other ideas besides dual-layer DVD iso?

Answered my own question:

Unblock the original downloaded ISO or Zip file; THEN copy them to the local server and run setup.exe.

Cheers!

Faced the similar issue.

When we copy the setup files from web site or from network share, sometimes Windows blocks the files.

Simply run the following PowerShell command to unblock all the setup files.

e.g. the setup files are at location c:\setup

the PowerShell command would be: -  get-childitem -path c:\setup | Unblock-File

Now the setup should run OK
