Exchange 2013 - Room Mailbox Creation

Hi

I am receiving an error message when creating room mailboxes however the mailboxes are being created. Any ideas why the errors may be being received?

"The room mailbox was created successfully, but
some properties weren't saved. Close this message, then in the Mailboxes list,
double-click the room mailbox, set the properties and click Save"

Hi,

If the HomeMDB attribute is empty or not set correctly on the System Mailboxes, this issue might happen. Please try the following steps to check this.

To determine the distinguished name of the Exchange database

  1. Start the ADSI Edit tool. To do this, click Start, click Run, type adsiedit.msc, and then click OK.
  2. Connect to the Configuration container if ADSI Edit is not already connected.
  3. Expand the following path: Configuration [<domainController>.company.com] -> CN=Configuration,DC=company,DC=com-> CN=Services-> CN=Microsoft Exchang -> CN=<OrganizationName>-> CN=Administrative Groups-> CN=Exchange Administrative Group (<ID>) -> CN=Databases
  4. In the details pane, right-click the CN=<DataBaseName> entry that has a Class value of msExchPrivateMDB, and then click Properties
  5. On the Attribute Editor tab, click distinguishedName, and then click View.
  6. Copy the path that appears in the Value box, and then click Cancel.

To set the homeMDB attribute

  1. Expand the following path: Configuration [<domainController>.company.com] -> CN=Configuration,DC=company,DC=com -> CN=Services -> CN=Microsoft Exchange -> CN=<OrganizationName> -> CN=Administrative Groups -> CN=Exchange Administrative Group (<ID>) -> CN=Servers -> CN=<MailboxServerName>
  2. In the details pane, right-click CN=Microsoft System Attendant, and then click Properties.
  3. On the Attribute Editor tab, click homeMDB, and then click Edit.
  4. Type or paste the distinguishedName value into the Value box, and then click OK.
  5. Exit the ADSI Edit tool.

On the affected Exchange server, restart the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service.

Best Regards.
