Exchange 2013 - Removal of Exchange 2007 public folder database

We have been in co-existence mode for a while with Exchange 2007 and 2013. I'm about to remove the Exchange 2007 MBX server (single) all together. Being that we don't use Public Folders, would there be any danger of just deleting the public folder database instance off the Exchange 2007 mailbox server? I do see Outlook clients show that they are connected (Connection Status in Outlook). The OAB is all on WebDAV and shared from the Exchange 2013 side of the house.

I see a number of documents talking about migrating PF from 2007 to 2013. Any concerns with just deleting the database all together?

Thanks

There is no webdav in modern Exchange versions. You meant web distribution?

Hi
If you are not using legacy public folder databases, you could remove the default public folder database. To do this, connect to CN=Configuration in ADSI Edit, and then navigate to the following location:

Domain.com/Configuration/Services/Microsoft Exchange/Org/Administrative Groups/Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/Databases

Check whether the msExchHomePublicMDB value is set to the legacy public folder database. Please clear the value to <not set>.

More details about removing the public folder database, please check the link:  https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876883%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

Best Regards,
