Exchange 2013 - Reinstalled Exchange and Error Opening EMS: New-PSSession Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot complete the operation

I had to reinstall Exchange 2013 in our environment. I was able to uninstall Exchange successfully and performed the Exchange 2013 install without any issues. When I try to open EMS I get this error:

New-PSSession Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : WinRM cannot complete the operation

I checked IIS Exchange Back End and the bindings for HTTPS have the correct SSL Cert.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Have you tried running winrm quickconfig?

Hi Chica,

Thank you for your question.

When we check IIS Exchange Back End and the bindings for HTTPS have the correct SSL Cert. we could restart the IIS to check if the issue persist.

If not, we run the following command:

Enable-PSRemoting -Force

Then as Eds said, run the WinRM quick configuration:

Set-WSManQuickConfig

We could check if there are any application logs. I suggest we send event id to ibsexc@microsoft.com for out troubleshooting.

We could refer to the following link:

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

Hi Ed. Yes, I've ran winrm quickconfig and it says the Service is running and it is already set up for remote management.

I did find the issue to my initial question. The kerbauth.dll was not located in the path that IIS was accessing.

Thank you all for responding. Today I'm verifying that all is working properly, so far it looks fine.
