Exchange 2010 two internating facing CAS
Hi Everyone, Need to design a solution for Exchange 2010 Active/Active datacenter model and two internet facing sites that have the following in environment. SiteA: SiteB: 2 HUBCAS (HUC1, HUC2) 2 HUBCAS (HUC3, HUC4) 2 Mailbox (MBX1, MBX2) 2 Mailbox (MBX3, MBX4) Active users 2000 Active users 1500 Direct Internet Direct Internet OWA virtual directory setting (SiteA) OWA virtual directory setting (SiteA) Internal url: mail1.domain.com Internal url: mail1.domain.com External url: mail1.domain.com External url: mail2.domain.com Certificate name: Certificate name: mail1.domain.com mail1.domain.com Certificate SAN name: Certificate SAN name: mail1.domain.com mail1.domain.com mail2.domain.com mail2.domain.com autodiscover.domain.com autodiscover.domain.com CAS Array Name: CAS Array Name: Casacarry1.domain.com casacarry2.domain.com WNLB: siteAnlb.domain.com WNLB: siteBnlb.domain.com Let say in my public DNS have two Host A record for OWA mail1.domain.com Host(A) 202.1.1.1 mail2.domain.com Host(A) 303.1.1.1 this is by ISP1 this is by ISP2 NAT on SiteA firewall NAT on SiteB firewall I want to have two different urls in such a way that all users use mail.domain.com as primary url and if it is not reachable any how they all can use mail2.domain.com Enabled: Cross-Site Silent Redirection on both Sites Query: 1. Can i use the OWA VD setting shown above on SiteA and SiteB. 2. Can I use mail1.domain.com as primary url to access active mailbox on SiteA and SiteB? (mail1 NAT with ISP1 on SiteA) 3. If SiteA is down (power outage) Can I use mail2.domain.com as alternate url to access active mailbox on SiteB? 4. If connection between SiteA and SiteB. Can SiteA users use mail1.domain.com and SiteB users use mail2.domain.com Thanks in advance NKumar

Hi Satheshwaran, Thanks Little confusion...Might be I am repeating my queries. Is this happening because we have configured "Cross-Site Silent Redirection" behavior as Selient mode? Ok As per my understanding 1. Internet link is down to SiteA, WAN link is UP between SiteA and SiteB, Internet link is UP to SiteB In this case If UserA having his mailbox on MBX1, UserA will access mailbox via https://mail2.domain.com? Will this solution work? Or we can have some other bet option to configure OWA virtual directory. Thanks in advance NKumar
