Exchange 2010 to 2013 Transitioning

Hello All...........I need to transition Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013. The current environment is based on a single server.

1.  I am trying to achieve HA from two-2 Servers?  Would it be possible?

2.  What I need to know before transitioning it? i.e. Mail Route, MX Record, NATted IP, etc.  If there is a checklist, it would be nice if someone could share it?

3.  What would I need to change in the above for successful transitioning?

4.  It is a 700 Mailbox environment, what hardware profile would be good enough for such an environment with the growth of up to 1000 in the next year or so?

5.  If there is any link to blog/article for step by step that would be really appreciated :)

Thanks in advance.
