Exchange 2010 setup and mount database
I was having an issue with exchange 2010 NLB and called MS support. the tech is currently helping me with an issue but he noticed i had another mailbox database that has unknown under mounted. He told me to go into adsi edit and remove that db since it is a layover from an earlier attempt to install the mailbox role that failed. Well he got off the phone to lookup an issue and so i removed that piece in adsiedit. I then rebooted my mailbox db server. After entering my password and username on the server it just sits at the next screen and never goes to the desktop. I noticed after i removed the extra line in adsi edit and tried to mount my databases it wouldn't so that is why i restarted the server. I can't get a hold of the tech now but i was wondering if there is anything else i can do right now? I am glad this is my test install before the real thing so anything on this box is disposable.

Hi, Did you get an error message at the EMC/EMS (when you’re trying to mount the EDB)? There’s something at the Event viewer? If you get an error message that is equals to the one that mentioned in this KB article, please follow these instructions (I had a customer that has the same problem, and we fixed his problem using this KB): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925825 Netanel Ben-Shushan, MCSA/E, MCTS, MCITP.
