Exchange 2010 on Virtual
Hi All, I just setup Exchange ent 2010 on Windows 2008 R2 Ent Server. Add 10GB RAM and 4 VCPU. 650 Mailboex. Now we have noticed outlook connections and switching around like calendar non responding and slowness. I thought all in one cause to this issue. So i need your exprties idea to setup new Physical Server or another virtual server to share the load. As

Hi Network or firewall\antivirus also affect outlook connections. If you install all roles on one server, you can install them independently. You can install cas role and hub role on new server and remove cas and hub role on origin server. As my experience, physical server is better than virtual server. You haven't done any real research to justify adding another server. Besides, adding another server means you have to purchase a load balancer and setup a DAG. Don't jump to conclusions. Start by understanding what the bottle neck is. Open EMC and within the "ToolBox" area there are two tools to analyze performance. I'd start with the Performance Troubleshooter. Hi 1.You can set up dag between physical and virtual. (same os, same domain). 2. You can set up dag and copy whole database to other dag memeber server.Terence Yu TechNet Community Support

Hi You install all roles on same server. Mailbox role service store.exe will consume all memory. So it is convenient, you can install mailbox role independently. Terence Yu TechNet Community Support
