Exchange 2010 distribution list
Hello, Having group made in Exchange 2010, I want that the members of this group are displayed in the mail sender box instead of the group name. And this for external user. Is there a way to do it ? ThanksEtienne

If you mean the recipient field (To or CC), you can only if the composer clicks on the + when composing the message in Outlook. Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi Etienne, There isn't any setting that can make Outlook and OWA to expand distribution list automatically. If you want to see members of distribution list in Outlook, you can follow Ed's suggestion to expand it. If you want to see members of distribution list in OWA, you can check the members under properties of distribution list. Hello thanks for your answer. Guess I wasn't clear enough. Let me separate : In exchange we have distribution lists. A sender (OWA or Outlook) is writing a email to an external user (whatever the mail app is, outlook, notes or so) In the (to:) box, there is the external user and a group. The External receiver of the mail see in the (from:) box, sender name, and in (to:) group name. Is there a way in Exchange 2010 that the External user see members of the group instead the group name in the (to:) box ? In fact we need the group to be disclosed when mail is getting outside the enterprise. Because external user have to know whom the mail has been sent. Thanks for your help. Regards.Etienne

As it turns out, I understood your question precisely and my earlier answer is the only way I know of to do what you want without writing your own code. You can, but only if the composer clicks on the + when composing the message in Outlook.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Etienne Hello Etienne, As far as I know, you cannot expand members of the group (as you described) in OWA. If you need to see members of the group, you can follow the suggestion in my previous post to check that.
