Exchange 2010 client access server
I am setting up my Exch2010 system in hyper-v. I tried using WNLB to build a Client access array and i started to run into problems. Then i found this webpage that said the Exchange team suggested to not use the WNLB client. http://www.stevieg.org/2010/11/exchange-team-no-longer-recommend-windows-nlb-for-client-access-server-load-balancing/ my question is that if i can't use this WNLB and these are vms in hyper-v can one build multiple CAS vms and have the outlook clients point to them or should i just use one CAS?

Hi, Actually, WNLB is a practical method to deploy CAS compare the Hardware Load balancing on the cost. Any configuration has the disvantage respectively. If you think the WNLB can meet your requirement, I feel that's enough. AllenAllen Song

Yes can still use WNLB if you want to, it's just not recommended Summarized it's much about that WNLB isn't service aware, it just checks for ping and that isn't really a good method Have you seen the whole session? http://www.msteched.com/2010/Europe/UNC311 Jonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog
