Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007 Autodiscover Issue
We have identified a half dozen users that are running Outlook 2007 on their laptops trying to connect to Exchange 2010 while out of the office, but are unable to make the connection. When they run the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration tool it reports:
AutoDiscover internet timeout against URL https://domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
AutoDiscover to https://domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml FAILED (0x800C8203)
AutoDiscover to https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml starting
But then no connection is ever made.
When you look at Microsoft Exchange Connection Status everything just says Connecting.
We don't know what to look at next. We do have users that are working fine.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Whether the clients could send and receive email without issue? Was only the Autodiscover issue encountered for the clients?
If only autodiscover issue, please understand that external clients uses two predefined URLs to connect Autodiscover service, like
https://domain.com or
https://autodiscover.domain.com
Thus, you need to first ensure the A record to be existing for the two urls. Next, the corresponding certificate must be matched with the names.
Thanks
Allen
