Exchange 2010 Server, can send emails but cant receive them

Hi,

So i have a problem :/ i got this task to set up an exchange server and since i never done it before i dont know what could be wrong ill try to explain the problem to the best of my ability

So i set up a ADDC a local domain and connected another server (exchange server) to it.

I've forwarded the ports from the gateway and created some users in the server.

I can send emails locally and externally without any problems.

In outlook when i click the option Send/Receive it sends but holds on Receive, before i got an error (nothing specific) but now it just stays on 50% and doesnt move.

When i send an email from the external email client to my domain, i get a response error saying 516 ICIR16 - Unknown user.

I can receive the mails from the local domain, but the outlook send/receive option still holds on Downloading the mails.

I can provide any info needed just ask.. thank you all so much in advance and i hope someone will be able to help me resolve this pain of an issue :(

--edit1

i failed to mention that i am able to telnet to the mail.xxx.eu on port 25 and 110

Thank you both for commenting, but miraculously the issue is partialy fixed. I can now receive mails from anywhere except the mail domain that is on the same server as this one

for example :

mail sent from info@mkpro.eu arrives to info@mkpro.de

mail sent from info@mkpro.de doesnt arrive to info@mkpro.eu

mail sent from info@mkpro.eu arrives to info@hotmail.com

mail sent from info@hotmail.com arrives to info@mkpro.eu

and of course mail exchange between the clients on mkpro.eu work just fine

One important detail is that mkpro.eu is just a nameserver connecting to my exchangeserver IP (PC i have next to me) and mkpro.de is an online client.

I did the inbound mail test and everything was okay

Also if its possible and you know how, i was asked to somehow make it that when i send an email from mkpro.eu it looks like it arrived from mkpro.de. I've tried googling that but cant find any useful info on such prompt search
