Exchange 2010 SP3 OWA - Can't Delete Emails

I'm in the process of doing an Exchange 03 to 2010 migration.. One of the issues I'm having problems with is my 2010 OWA. I have a test mailbox on my 2010 server and can log in and send/receive fine but when I try to delete emails I get:

"An unexpected error occurred and your request couldn't be handled."

In the eventvwr the following are logged.. I've been googling for hours and cannot fix this.. I have no host headers, I have no web.config file to delete in my c:\inetpub\wwwroot.. Any help would be appreciated..

Hi,
Pls verify the authentication methods you have configured for EWS. The below output shows you how they are set by default.

Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | fl *auth*

CertificateAuthentication     :
InternalAuthenticationMethods : {Ntlm, WindowsIntegrated, WSSecurity}
ExternalAuthenticationMethods : {Ntlm, WindowsIntegrated, WSSecurity}
LiveIdSpNegoAuthentication    : False
WSSecurityAuthentication      : True
LiveIdBasicAuthentication     : False
BasicAuthentication           : False
DigestAuthentication          : False
WindowsAuthentication         : True

Also, if you have configured redirection is IIS, make sure that the Virtual Directories like EWS, EAS, ECP etc doesn't have it configured too.

I installed Exchange SP3.. The fix that you linked is to install update rollup 1.. However, when that is installed you cannot use a transport disclaimer rule because all emails go into a poison queue..

Yes, that's a problem. We are waiting for a solution for the RU1 problem.

In your case shift+delete might help for the moment.

On the phone with MS for 3 hours.. Finally they provided some super secret patch that fixed the issue.. I then uninstalled RU1 to fix the transport rule.
