Exchange 2010 SP3 - moving server to another domain
Hello,
can I move Exchange server 2010 SP3 from DomainA to another domain, DomainB? Is it possible? I know, that it wasn't possible in case of Exchange 2007 (according to this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/925824), but I can't find informations about Exchange 2010 SP3. Can be this version of Exchange moved or I should install it again from scratch and somehow copy the data? Thank you so much for your time...

Hello,

you can create forest trust between domains. After that you can move mailboxes.

If the 2 domains are in different forests, the answer is no. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

Even it's technically possible, it's definitely not a good idea to move Exchange server. You should setup a new Exchange server instead. For mailbox database, you can move it from the old server to new server using database portability.

Thank you for your response...

Yes, two different forests (forest trust is set).

Ok, so... apparently, there is only one way... Install Exchange from scratch and move database...

Thank you!
