Exchange 2010 SP1 retention does not work

	Hello
I use
Exchange 2010
with SP1,
I created
the following
three
brands of
policies for
the retention
of old e-mail:
1
Name:
Purge Deleted Items, Type:
Excluded
Items, Action:
Delete
Permanently,
Age
limit:
15 days,
enabled:
Yes
2
Name:
Clear trash
excluded, Type:
Electronic
Waste, Action:
Delete
Permanently,
Age
limit:
10 days,
enabled: Yes
3 rd
Name:
Folder Clear
Sync
Type:
Sync Issues, Action:
Delete
Permanently,
Age
limit:
one day,
enabled: Yes
Then
I created a
retention policy
and added
the three
brands mentioned
above
and added
to the
mailboxes of the
users
that this
policy applied to them.
I
envision that
this
policy applied
by going
to the properties
of the
users mailbox
in OWA
and see
also the
users.
Have gone
well over
15 days and
this
policy is not
deleting
the emails from
mailboxes
on anyone.
I ran
the script:
Set-MailboxServer
myserver-Identity
`
-ManagedFolderAssistantSchedule
"Sun.1:
00
AM-Sun.3:
00
AM, "
`
"Mon.1:
00
AM-Mon.3:
00
AM, Tue.1:
00
AM-Tue.3:
00
AM, "
`
"Wed.1:
00
AM-Wed.3:
00
AM, Thu.1:
00
AM-Thu.3:
00
AM, "
`
"Fri.1:
00
AM-Fri.3:
00
AM, Sat.1:
00
AM-Sat.3:
00
AM"}
And
also forced
with the command:
Start-ManagedFolderAssistant-Identity
name_user
But
still nothing came of it
...
The
tab 'Messaging
Records
Management ' which
sets
the hours to apply
the rule
does not appear
to
me after
installing SP1
and
Rollup 1.
Anyone
have any solutions?Jorge dos Santos

			Hi Jorge,
Could I confirm some information about your test?
Did you test the retention policy, How do you create the the retention policy Tag, and how you set the type as "Excluded Items", per my known, there is no the kind type by default, did you create a managed folder?
I want to verify what is the detailed procedures, and we could narrow down the issue.
Some information for you:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123507.aspx
And A MVP gave a good article, you could refer to
here.
Note that, MRM and Retention Policy, have something different.
Regards!
Gavin
