Exchange 2010 Outlook Everywhere Internet Access
Hello, I am new to Exchange 2010 server and I am having difficulties with a few things. I installed the Exchange on a server with the Domain name ti.local. However, I obviously need to use a .com or .edu or a valid domain names for the Outlook anywhere and incoming mail. Also my boss wants me to use tridentindustries.com as the domain name for all emails. I have managed to successfully create a send connector and figured out how to add the Domain tridentindustries.com as the send/receive domain name, but I cannot get the receive connector to work and I cannot get the IIS website to accept Internet access to Outlook anywhere. I have created an A host record in DNS pointing to our ISP IP provided (although my only option for a FQDN is mail.ti.local) and create a MX record pointing to mail.tridentindustries.com. I think I may be doing something wrong in the MX record but I am not sure. Below is my MX record configuration Host or Child Domain: mail Fully Qualified Domain Name: mail.ti.local Fully Qualified Domain Name of Mail Server: mail.tridentindustries.com And this is my A record config: Host: mail FQDN: mail.ti.local IP Address: 82.214.xx.xx (ISP Address) Any help would be greatly appreciated

What is your concern? Do you have issue with mail flow or Outlook Anywhere? Or some other issue on the server?Gulab Prasad, Exchange Ranger Z-Hire Employee Provisioning App

Hi there, First you need to add additional email address to your users and then configure Exchange server to receive email from multiple addresses: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123794(v=exchg.141).aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996314(v=exchg.141).aspx Hope it is helpful. Mail flow is the problem. I have the Outlook Anywhere running but I can't send or receive mail from outside the organization.

MX record for mail.ti.local won't work as it is not routable. YOu need to create an MX record for tridentindustries.com and point it to your firewall / router, and get it to route to the Exchange 2010 server inside the network. In order to receive emails, you need to configure Anonymous users in the Permissions group of the default receive connector, but without a proper MX record, it will not work.
