Exchange 2010 OAB not updating Outlook Clients
Hi All, I am having a issue with the OAB not updating. Both OWA and Outlook not running in cached mode have the correct address book. When you try to download the OAB in cached mode it just hangs. I have checked the schedule and found that I have 3: Schedule : {Sun.2:00 AM-Sun.2:15 AM, Mon.2:00 AM-Mon.2:15 AM, Tue.2:00 AM-Tue.2:15 AM, Wed.2:00 AM-Wed.2:15 AM, Thu.2:0 0 AM-Thu.2:15 AM, Fri.2:00 AM-Fri.2:15 AM, Sat.2:00 AM-Sat.2:15 AM} Schedule : {Sun.5:00 AM-Sun.5:15 AM, Mon.5:00 AM-Mon.5:15 AM, Tue.5:00 AM-Tue.5:15 AM, Wed.5:00 AM-Wed.5:15 AM, Thu.5:0 0 AM-Thu.5:15 AM, Fri.5:00 AM-Fri.5:15 AM, Sat.5:00 AM-Sat.5:15 AM} Schedule : {Sun.5:00 AM-Sun.5:15 AM, Mon.5:00 AM-Mon.5:15 AM, Tue.5:00 AM-Tue.5:15 AM, Wed.5:00 AM-Wed.5:15 AM, Thu.5:0 0 AM-Thu.5:15 AM, Fri.5:00 AM-Fri.5:15 AM, Sat.5:00 AM-Sat.5:15 AM} Could this be causing my problem or am I looking in the wrong location? Thanks, Nath

Hi Nath, * Go to the MBX server. open the EMC and navigate to Server configuration and highlight the Mbx server * right click on the server and select the Manage diagnostic logging properties * Expand MSExchangeSA - > OAL Generator and make it as expert and configure * Go to the offline address book and Manually update the OAB after that go to event viewer [application log] * Check the Error id and post the full Error descriptionThanks Joseph Pradeep =========================================================== If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote. Hi Joseph, I turned on the logging to expert as directed and updated the OAB. I received this warning: OABGen could not generate full details for some entries in the offline address list for address list '\Global Address List'. To see which entries are affected, set event logging for the offline address list generator to at least medium. Which is not very helpful. Thanks, Nath

I found this article and it resolved my problem. The issue was that the Web.config file was missing the Authenticated users group. Bloody Exchange. Hope this helps: http://unified.swiatelski.com/2011/02/exchange-2010-cannot-download-offline.html Thanks, Nath
