Exchange 2010 Management console default server
Is there a command line argument or some other way to pre-defined the Exchange server that the EMC will connect to for remoting? I'm trying to install the console in an Active Directory site that has no local Exchange server and I don't want it to be connecting to random servers all over our WAN. I want to target it to a specific AD site or at least a specific Exchange server.

Open the EMC. Right-click on the On-Premesis part, select Properties. Specify a server to connect to.MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M

Sorry, I mean to define it so that you don't have to do that and it will always try a specific server first (ideally for new user profiles logging on to the computer where the tools are installed)

Hi I think that is by design for a new user, you have to choose the server that you would like to connect to. Cheers Zi Feng Zi Feng TechNet Community Support
