Exchange 2010 Log and DB folders set as read only and DBs will not mount
Hey All,
I have an Exchange 2010 mailbox/HT server and none of the DBs will mount. I tried creating a new DB and it failed as well with "Unexpected error 19". Looking at the drives, the folders containing the logs and DBs are marked as read only and I cannot
remove the attribute. I am thinking that this is the problem. Is this something Exchange 2010 does to the folders? Or is this some weird problem. Any help would be appreciated. I have restarted the server several times and I also ran the steps in KB925825
but it failed to resolve the issue.

What SP level are you on? Checked our server and that seems to be normal, i.e. ours are set to R/O as well
Have you cleared and save the logs, tried the DB creation and then checked all logs to see if there are additional events that can assist?
Are you trying to create a store with a specific name? if so have you tried an alternate name?

Looks to be iSCSI related. I moved the DBs to my C drive, which is in the server, and they mounted fine. I will try to track it down from the iSCSI angle.
Thanks!
