Exchange 2010 Domain Prep for Child Domain
We're in the middle of an Exchange 2010 transition. Our AD structure consist of a parent and child. The Exchange servers live in the parent domain. I have run all the necessary preps on the paernt domain and went to begin moving a test account from the child domain only to receive an INSUFFICENT RIGHTS error. I found that it was necessary to run the setup /PrepareDomain:FQDN. I get this error when I try to run it. I am running this from a DC on the parent Domain Performing Microsoft Exchange Server Prerequisite Check Organization Checks ......................... FAILED Setup encountered a problem while validating the state of Active Directory: The Active Directory domain configuration version (13040) is higher than Setup' s version(12639). Therefore, PrepareDomain can't be executed.
