Exchange 2010 Certificate Importing Syntax - conflict of documentation - nothing works
I used the Exchange 2010 Command Shell to create a certificate request. I have the cert back from GODaddy and now I am trying to import it, and failing miserable, following the directions on Technet! Here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995942.aspx is says that the syntax of (copied exactly from that page): Import-ExchangeCertificate -path <certificate_file_name>.cer -friendlyname "Contoso CAS01" is valid. When I run the command, I get: [PS] C:\>Import-ExchangeCertificate -path c:\certs\certificate.crt -friendlyname "SERVER" A positional parameter cannot be found that accepts argument '-path'. + CategoryInfo : InvalidArgument: (:) [Import-ExchangeCertificate], ParameterBindingException + FullyQualifiedErrorId : PositionalParameterNotFound,Import-ExchangeCertificate When I run the help command, it doesn't show -path to be valid, but when I display the examples, it does have the -path parameter in an example! What is going on here?? SnoBoy

Winging it here - found the New Certificate wizard and used that to create and import the certificate instead. That works - and it is a lot easier the the trial and error of using EMS to create one! Wonder what else is in the GUI that we used to have to do with the EMS? SnoBoy
