Do you need to use NLB? If so, no. If not, yes. I would apply SP1 to the Windows 2008 server if you haven't done so already. I can't speak to the supportability limits, however. Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

I recommend it but I didn't say it was a prerequisite.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi In theory, NLB on one physical and one virtual can work. But system engineer need much knowledge of VM and windows network. If your VM is vmware, you will meet many problems. I think this case is good for you. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lv/exchange2010/thread/2ba72612-489d-4ad4-a45c-eb9e30cb0a56 NLB on one physical and one virtual might work but not everytime. HLB will be better choice. TechNet Subscriber Support in forum If you have any feedback on our support, please contact tnmff@microsoft.com Terence Yu TechNet Community Support
