Exchange 2010 - view all owners of a distribution group.
When I view a distribution group in the address book it only displays the name of the first owner of the group. How can I let end users see all owners of a group without using the console, or easily rearrange the names of the owners so that an email admin doesn't always show up first. I can remove the email admin in the console and then re-add her, and the second owner pops to the top, but I don't want to do that for 1000+ distribution groups.

HAve you looked at the group properties in ECP? Does it show all the owners there?

Yes, all the owners show there. Maybe it's a training issue, but people aren't using that. They look at the group in the address book, view the properties, and only see one owner, so they send an email to that person to modify the group. That person is in the IT department, and we'd rather have the person in their own department show first, or show all the owners.

Short of modifying the GAL details template or scripting something that lists all the owners in the Notes field , using the ECP is probably the only option. Its a pretty good option and really should be used more in Exchange 2010.

Hi, As per my knowledge, we can’t view all owners of a distribution group in our outlook/OWA GAL instead of only the first owner. We can only see them in ECP. And it is by design. So, when creating a distribution group, Exchange admins usually will specify the owner of a group who really manages the group and the owner need not always be also the manager of a distribution list. And I will report it to Exchange development team. ThanksSophia Xu
