Exchange 2010 - shared calendars slow syncing

Dear,

Branch office users are running outlook 2010 (in cached mode).

exchange 2010 server is in the main office (connected by 2MB fiber)

users shared theirs calendars (some calendars are shared with 10 users)

when an appointment is set in a calendar, it will take a long time (sometimes 1 or 2 hours) to sync this element with the outlook of the others users (sometime just a few minutes).

is there a way to improve this ?  (we want to stay in cached mode)

thanks

Hi,

Does the sync issue occur in OWA or when running Outlook under Online Mode?

If we using Outlook Cached Mode, it need to download and sync these calendars at the same time.

So, it need time to transfer data.

And it is too hard to say where is the problem, it also relates the client performance.

We can test on Online Mode and OWA to compare.

I also found a KB for your reference:

Performance problems when you try to access folders in a secondary mailbox in Outlook

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2297543

For more details about the sync issue on the client side, I suggest to re-create a new thread on Outlook Forum.

For your convenience:

Hope it is helpful

Thanks
