Exchange 2010 - differing location and unsual AD structure
Hi, I have a requirement to place an Exchange 2010 server in the middle east [currently no mail servers, everyone there connects back to UK] I need to ensure emails sent to someone@mycomapny.com.bh are sent to the new local email server, slight complication is the AD was set up as AD.gb-comp.co.uk. Would I be right in thinking, register the above email format to deliver to external IP of middle east office and set middle east Exchange 2010 as accepting this mail format, ensure middle east users have the SMTP format as part of their email address alias? Thanks

Sorry should have added we are using Exchange 2003, migrating to 2010 within next 12 months. So I could set email delivery to UK with the BH email internally routing the the Exchange 2010 BH server [ 2003 & 2010 working in mixed mode] via the primary SMTP. OR 2 routing groups and set an additional 2003 box in BH as bridgehead to talk to UK for inter company emails? Thanks
