Exchange 2010 - Unable to View Distribution List in Address Book
After upgrading to server 2010 from 2007 I can't get a distribution group to show up in the GAL. I made sure the checkbox labled "hide from address book" is cleared. 24hrs has past since creating the group. I tried searching using the web access client. I also tried downloading the address book with the regular client. If I type the email address for the distrbution list, the members receive the message. I looked around online and a few people have reported the same issue but I couldn't find a resolve for it.

Hi, 1. Check if the "Group scope" is Universal. 2. Update address list: Get-GlobalAddressList | Update-GlobalAddressList 3. Mail-Disable a distribution group and then Mail-Enable it. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/d5f6d985-1859-4376-b7df-bbab2fc06442 Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
