Exchange 2010 - Slow Delivery to Outlook after hard reboot
We have Exchange 2010 which had an issue which required us to kill the VM. The server came back just fine but since that time all of our Outlook 2007 users have had extremely delayed email delivery to their Outlook. They will see it on their Blackberrys but then it will take about 20 mins to appear in their Outlook applications. Any ideas?

Nothing is in queues. Exchange 2010 shows proper receipt and delivery. It hits the Blackberrys so that process is working fine. Outlook is just taking forever to retrieve messages.

Is Outlook in cached mode? Does the problem improve if you take Outlook out of cached mode?Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

I would assume so but I can't go around to 150+ devices and change them all from cached to non-cached. Everyone was fine before Exchange 2010 went down hard this afternoon. I have checked all the logs for errors, etc and nothing. My plan is to reboot the server nicely later tonight and cross my fingers. Any other ideas?

Based on limited testing - the graceful restart of the server has resolved the issue. I would say the conclusion is that if the Exchange 2010 server goes down hard to let it power-up and then immediately do a graceful restart.
