Exchange 2010 - SMTP Authentication Question
I'm not very familiar with Exchange... I'm wanting to setup the server so that it accepts incoming SMTP connections from any unauthenticated host if they're sending TO domains that the server accepts. I would also like to allow users to relay from the server, only when authenticated. Is this possible? Thank you in advance, Chris

Exchange does the first by default. It will not accept email for domains that it doesn't know about. For the second option, Exchange does that by default, using the Client Receive Connector, which is designed for exactly that. Exchange Users is the permission that allows relaying by authenticated users. Simon. Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources | In the UK? Hire Me.
