Exchange 2010 - Outlook Prompting for U/P and OOF not working
Hi, I am having a problem with Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2007. When using Outlook 2007 I cannot set an out of office message I get the error: "Your Out of Office settings cannot be displayed, because the server is currently unavailable. Try again late" Now I can fix this issue by setting in IIS the autodiscover SSL settings to Ignore, but when I do this all users get a username and password prompt everytime they launch Outlook. I have done a Google search on both errors and everything seems to point to the autodiscover feature, I have tried removing and recreating this directory but it was still the same. The auth settings on the IIS directorys are set to Basic and Windows. All the users are internal and I am using a self signed cert. Can someone help me with this? Regards

Hi, Did you create a autodiscover DNS record? /MartinExchange is a passion not just a collaboration software.

Hi Does it work to set the OOO from OWA? What type of certificate are you using? What names are included? Run these commands and post the results in the thread get-OwaVirtualDirectory | fl get-EcpVirtualDirectory | fl get-WebservicesVirtualDirectory | fl get-OABVirtualDirectory | fl get-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory | flJonas Andersson MCTS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | MCSE/MCSA Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog

Hi, Clarify: Please help me to confirm the following information: 1. Can OOF work when you set via OWA. 2. What the version of your Exchange Server and Outlook? 3. Is there any error your event log? 4. As you are using self-signed certificate, do you make your client trusted to the certificate. Troubleshooting: 1. Please refer to the following document and check whether it is fit to you: Outlook 2007 crashes or you cannot access OOF settings after you install a package that contains the .NET Framework 3.5 with SP1 and the .NET Framework 2.0 with SP2 on an Exchange 2007 Client Access server or on an Exchange 2010 Client Access server http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958934/EN-US 2. I suggest you check the result of “Test E-mail Autoconfiguration” if there is any error, please paste in your next post.
